| Kids Can Cook Too! Do you have an up-and-coming gourmand? Are you looking for something new and exciting for an after school activity? Do your scouts need to complete a cooking badge? Whether you want private in-home lessons for a young teen who is anxious to learn or you want to put together a kitchen basics course, I'm happy to offer my expertise to get kids excited about cooking! We ALWAYS take some time to discuss and explain health, safety, hygiene and dietary choices. But aren't they too young? It's never too early to teach children safe, healthy cooking skills. I love having children in the kitchen because they learn so quickly! Kitchen skills help children learn math and science, and art! When children have more experience and confidence in the kitchen, they make healthier choices as they grow. What's Included? Costs will include your chef, the recipes and printed materials, as well as a goody-bag for each child. Goodie bags may include child size aprons and child size cooking utensils. Cost of the groceries may be included in your quote or may be separate. Can I Make This A Party? Absolutely. This is such a simple way to throw a party- birthday party, christmas party, any reason at all! I provide the food, the entertainment, AND the goodie bags. I will even send out the invitations for you! Can you work with our group? Yes! I can work with church youth groups, put together programs for scout badges, and even put together a series of classes for extra-curricular activities or after school programs. I understand that many of these programs already involve parents and volunteers, and I'll work closely with them! Below I've listed some classes available for your little ones. Breakfast For Dinner Put on your pajamas; it's time for dinner! Kids cook up monte-cristo sandwiches with strawberry jam, apple-sausage patties, and of course, pancakes! This class works well at slumber parties. How to: Boil Water Kids get to learn how to work in the kitchen safely. Making a simple meal, children use the stove top, oven, and broiler, along with other kitchen appliances and gadgets and important safety techniques. Silly Snacks We make finger foods that really look like fingers! With a large group, we can break this class into stations, then sit down for a silly snack picnic. Kitchens Around the World Children take a culinary cuisine, learning to make food from Italy, Korea, Mexico, and France. We spend some time discussing not only the food, but some mealtime customs or traditions unique to each culture and each meal. This class is also great as a mini-series format, ideal for after-school activities. Little Cookie Monster This is a parent-and-me class. My children have been helping to make cookies since they were old enough to stand on a chair to reach the counter! This is a fun class for you and your favorite little cookie monster. Parents and little ones will share some sweet moments as we make and decorate delicious cookies. This class is great for playdates! Breakfast in Paris What could more fun than breakfast, French style! It's all about crepes and quiches, croissants and cafe-au-lait! It's a meal perfect for a hearty breakfast or even a late night meal! Prices Start at $50 with a minimum of 2 children. One adult is required at all times for supervision and child assistance.
